LVCCLD Celebrates Italy

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is hosting Viva la Vita Bella: A Day to Celebrate Italy on Saturday, March 26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Avenue.

The celebration will feature authentic Italian food, music and activities in a family-friendly environment where children can enjoy face painting, coloring, games and crafts. A market area will feature jewelry, handbags, clothing, crafts, CDs and door prizes, as well as information about tours of Italy. There will also be a chance to win a family four pack to ride the gondolas at the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino.

Entertainment headliners include Richie D & the HiLites who will perform tunes from the ’50s and ’60s from well-known Italian performers at 11:20 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Frank and Ivana Valeriana will perform Italian pop music and Italian classics, along with some of his original pieces on the saxophone at noon and 3 p.m. Nathan Brian Wine, who has performed in operas with some of the greatest singers in the world such as Luciano Pavarotti, Plácido Domingo and Carlo Bergonzi to name a few and has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra under the batons of Sir Simon Rattle and Sir André Previn, will perform at 1 p.m.
